Purchased this last week for an upcoming trip to Europe for use as an added measure of safety in the hotel rooms we are staying in. Received highly fast working with Amazon Prime.
Tested this transportable lock in my dwelling with two completely different doors and works wonders! With this lock on, it will make it extremely complicated for an intruder to come in to your area. Though the red piece is plastic it is reinforced with a metal plate underneath it which makes it really solid! This makes the whole portable lock produced of metal! Once installed, it was difficult for me to go in the household. I assume that I would have to kick the door in to jar this transportable lock loose.
Great added measure of security! I will sleep superior being aware of that even if an intruder manage to choose the locks of my hotel space, they would have to kick the door in to open it with this transportable lock in place!

When it fits, it gives a sturdy barrier, fast to put on or eliminate. It can be especially helpful when renting holiday houses or condos where some realtors, property managers, or upkeep males tend to enter without even knocking at instances. Also various consumers seem to have keys, and feel entitled to enter whenever they please, at such locations. However, it only fits traditional doors, and only when the door and lock fit the frame perfectly.
I have by no means been in a position to use it at a hotel, and too sometimes discover it won't perform in standard doors. Sadly, housekeeping and maintenance staff have keys to ALL locks, even deadbolts, and can even get into rooms with security bars effortlessly. I would like to see a new version of this for hotels, and some adjust that would make it less complicated to use on "imperfect" doors.
